Waterway managers organize regular meetings with user representatives: professionals and amateurs.
All waterway users are represented:

• Commercial shipping,
• Hotel or passenger boats,
• Private yachting,
• Charter boat rental,
• Water sports,
• Fishing,
• Cycling...
• As well as port and community management.

The number of representatives at meetings depends on the size of the associations represented and the agenda.
Twice a year, VNF organizes national commissions (CNU) and local commissions (CLU) in the regions.

In Ile-de-France, the regional prefect chairs the CUF (Comité des Usages Fluviaux).
The Départements also hold meetings with users of the waterways they manage.

Meetings are held face-to-face and/or by video, and follow a clearly defined agenda.

Managers such as CNR and other local authorities also organize meetings with users.

In addition to these committees, shorter meetings known as NavigInfos may be convened, depending on current weather conditions.

They are held by videoconference to deal with short-term navigability.
ANPEI representatives take part in all these meetings and report on them in the various sections of the ANPEI website.
All these waterway meetings are an opportunity to make the voice of pleasure boating heard.
